Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 was released on Wednesday with a similar design to its predecessor, Mi Pad 2, but with much improved specifications. You might recall that Xiaomi released the Mi Pad 2 back in 2015. It took the company around two years to finally launch its successor.

Specifications and features

The Mi Pad 3 runs on MediaTek MT8176 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage for apps, videos, and other data. However, there is no Micro SD slot for expansion. The tablet has a metal body that comes in Champagne Gold color and carries a 6600 mAh battery.

Additionally, the tablet boasts a 7.9-inch screen with a display resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. It has unique features including a black and white mode, which is good for reading e-books. It also has an eye protection mode that decreases the amount of blue light coming from the screen.

Meanwhile, the Mi Pad 3 mounts a 13 megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture at the back. It runs on MIUI 8.0 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

As for the price, Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 offers a great value. It will cost 1,499 yuan or around $220. For now, you can buy it online from Xiaomi’s website or from other online resellers.
